27w0d- Happy third trimester!!!!! I can’t believe how fast the 2nd trimester passed! Brendan still has lazy days and somewhat energetic days, but I don’t get as much activity as I thought I would by now. Perhaps he’ll be a placid baby!! I also go for 3 or 4 days getting lots of stuff done and then suffer through 3 or 4 days where I am tired and uninspired to do much of anything at all. But beyond this, our excitement level is rapidly increasing- we just can not wait to meet our son! Supposedly, he weighs about 2 pounds and is 12 ½ inches from head to toe now. I have more than a foot of baby inside me!!
Darrell’s graduation from college is on Saturday, so his parents will drive down tomorrow. I am ready for some company! Darrell looked up his grades and was thrilled to get a 4.0 this semester- he will be graduating with honors and is very happy about that. I am so proud of him! It took him 9 ½ years to get his bachelor’s, but he made it! When asked if he’s going to start on his master’s, he says very loudly, “not for at least 2 years!” I sure can’t blame him- he’s been going to school for eeevvvveeerr! Perhaps after a year I can convince him to take one class a semester. He’s been taking two at a time to defer his loans so maybe one at a time will be easier to handle. He might as well- it is free after all. I ordered him a half chocolate, half white cake frosted in the good fudge icing. I hope he likes it! I told them to make it looked “distinguished”. The bakery guy seemed to be a real dummy though, so we’ll see.
