Felt pretty good today. :o) ££ ££Well, I received a response from a parent finally. I had signed Dad’s card with “Love, Jen, Darrell, and the Grain of Wild Rice. My Dad sent me this email. My response follows. ££ ££***** ££Dear about to be mom and papa, ££ ££After carefully looking at the picture that you sent me, I really hate to say this, but I think you might be having a puppy. Puppys are good tho. Please explain the "Long Grain Wild Rice." I am very happy for you. ££ ££Love Grandpa (Ugh), Call me Terry or Dad ££ ££ ££Dear Grandpa/Terry/Dad, ££ ££Dr says the baby (at that time) was as big as a grain of wild rice and as ££heavy as a lower eyelash! Tiny! No, we are not having a puppy, we are ££having an alien. One that invades stomachs... ££ ££My first Obstetrician appt is on Aug 22 and the annual Baby Fair here is on ££Aug 24-25. Not much to do til then. Except to avoid calling Ralph on the ££big white telephone. ££ ££Love, ££Jen + the Peanut M&M ££***** ££ ££Lillian patted my tummy on my way out the door today. She told Sam to tell the baby bye-bye. A little early for this, but it was sweet. In a chat, Darrell told me, “That's two tick marks on your pat-pat list.” So, he’s keeping track too! ££ ££I looked up information on the hospital I think Dr. Gallagher may deliver at. Their website said to register for the labor classes as soon as you find out you are pg!! Do they really fill up so fast?? I think I will find out what hospital for sure at my first appt. then if it is the one I am thinking of, talk to the representatives at the Baby Fair- which will be here August 24 & 25!!! I am SO excited!! No more pickles and ice cream though! :o) ££ ££I changed my first Dr. appointment to Thursday, August 22 at 1:00. I told Darrell about the first appt. I had made and he responded with, “You have got to be kidding!” Apparently that was the worst possible day in August for me to pick. So I told him, it was okay. I could go alone. He told me in a stern voice that HIS Daddy book told him to go to all the appointment and he was going to do just that! I laughed and told him I’d change it.
