Last night, Waynell presented us with 2 adorable baby Big Dog shirts. We love the Big Dog store!! One was pink and the other blue and both were SO adorable! She said she wanted the baby to have a gift whether it was a boy or a girl. The other one we’d take back and buy something else when I went up there for Halloween. They are pictured below. ££ ££Oh my goodness, I am having a SON!!! A BOY! Trucks, sports, banged-up knees!! And he is a very big boy! He measured at 20w6d! Our ultrasound technician was very good and very competent. I firmly believe that this baby is indeed a boy. His heart was beating at 153 bpm. He was sitting straight up (Ugh! Breech!) and facing towards my right side. No wonder I keep getting crampy sensations in my girly areas- the booger is kicking my cervix!!! I don’t feel shy about pressing down on my tummy or jiggling him around a bit anymore- she was rough! LOL. I got several good pictures and a short video too! ££ ££After the ultrasound, we went to my regular appointment with Dr. Gallagher. All we did was sit in her office and discuss the ultrasound and questions I had. She started off saying that everything was great with the ultrasound. The breech position doesn’t matter yet. He measured up just fine and looked great! She commented that my weight gain so far was great (now that I’ve started to gain a bit!). I gained 1 ½ pounds in the last 5 weeks. I was very happy with that! I asked about getting the flu shot and she said to go for it. Also, I had been having some nasty diarrhea and stomachaches for about a week and she said if it continues for a few more days to go back and they’d run some tests. I probably have an intestinal bug. Otherwise, taking Kaopectate was fine and when I mentioned that I was trying to take as little as possible she said to take all I wanted- it wouldn’t hurt anything. So that was reassuring! Finally, I asked if I would be doing the Glucose Tolerance Screening earlier than usual since my mother is diabetic. She decided to have me take it on my next visit- and then added that I’d have to do it again at 28 weeks! Ugh! But the additional screening will help put my mind at ease, since this boy is already pretty big! ££ ££After our discussion, I got my blood pressure taken. It was 122/70. That was good. Then I made my next appointment for Friday, November 22 at 10:40. ££ ££Darrell’s parents spent the day shopping with us. I had to hit the summer clearance racks for baby boy clothes! We had a lot of fun!!&& break# break# align#center&& graphic#userurlBigDogshirtboy.jpg&&&&4&&&&&&&&&& break# break# graphic#userurlBigDogshirtgirl.jpg&&&&4&&&&&&&&&& break# break# graphic#userurl20wkultrasoundface.jpg&&&&0&&&&&&&&&& break# text#Our best whole-baby shot, complete with elbows and knees.
