I am 5w4d today. I have known I am pg for 1 week now! But, it seems like 3 weeks! Symptoms: Dryish nose, constipation, & aches and pains in my lower abdomen. About once a day I get a sharp pain in one specific spot. I sure hope that that is just the baby implanting deeper in my uterus but I still worry that something is not right, like an ectopic pgcy or something. I will be very happy after a good U/S next Thursday! I have been bloated these past few days and my jeans and shorts are embarrassingly tight now. I hope that goes away or I am going to be REALLY EMBARRASSED going to work in maternity clothes so soon! Otherwise, I am still very happy and excited! Grow my precious little one!

I have ordered my first several maternity bras. They are so expensive. I am trying out 3 types. 2 are “Sleep Bras” which I have decided to use to minimize overnight “freedom” growth… LOL. The last type I bought is maternity/nursing bra. My boobs are starting to grow already and I don’t want to wake up one morning not fitting in any of my current bras! I bought one sleep bra for the size I wear now (don’t go any higher on that one anyway) and the other two in a size & a cup size bigger. May that be all I grow!

I have joined a “Due in March” board now. It is GREAT to be conversing with a bunch of women who are in the same boat as me- at the same time as me! The consensus is that we all have aches and pains and at least one other woman described pains like I have.

My other concern right now is nutrition and what I am eating. One of my books suggests a diet of (simplified a bit here):
4 milk/cheese/yogurt
4 meat/bean
4 fruits (paying attention to Vitamins A & C)
4 veges (ditto on the vitamins)
At least 6 bread/pasta/rice

Now, I used to consider myself a big eater...LOL... but I cannot manage to get all this food down!! That is FOUR meals of 1 milk, 1 meat, 1 fruit, 1 vege and 1 1/2 breads EACH TIME. OMG! I am gonna gain so much weight!!! I just can’t eat four big meals in one day.

I get the dairy in but fall slightly short in the meat dept and lack usually 1 fruit and 1 or 2 veges. Breads, I get in 5 or 6 a day. I am trying to eat only good foods and no sweets but I can't manage to get down what I am supposed to. And I don't have M/S (yet!)!!! Fingers crossed on that one! I have to say my meals have been well-rounded with a variety of foods at each one.

I looked up my age & month of conception on the Chinese Conception Chart. It says it will be a boy!!! It is supposedly 80% to 90% accurate! I look forward to being further along and playing around with a few more “Boy or Girl?” old wives’ tales!

Best of luck to Meesie, who is in the running for my pg-buddy!!

Here are some pictures from a few months back. The first two are Amanda and Sam at the Little Gym. We go here every Wednesday for a little exercise. The third one is Sam & I monkeying around. These pictures are from around April-May.
