My Granddaughter’s Birthday Party

My Granddaughter’s Dinosaur Party

My granddaughter recently had the Dinosaur Dig party for her 7th birthday. Here is what her Mother wrote:

My Daughter’s Dinosaur Party

Recently my daughter had her 7th birthday and being the tomboy that she is, it’s difficult to find the perfect party for her. So, after looking through all the parties offered through Posh Party Box, we came up with the perfect party. Well, actually the exact party she wanted! She chose to go with the “Dinosaur Dig” party.

After reading up on the party and what it consisted of, I assumed it might get a little messy, so we decided to have the party at a park right down the street from our house. We went early and covered the picnic tables with the tableclothes provided and tied balloons to the benches. At each place we set the bag filled with the hat, book, tatoos and, the best part, the dinosaur clay. It looked so cute and all the colors looked perfect!
When the guests arrived they set off to play on the playground and work up an appetite for their lunch. We had pizza and watermelon. It was the perfect meal for the kids…and easy!
Once the kids were done eating…we wanted them to eat first as to not dirty up there places with the clay from the dino dig…they were ready to start digging! The kids looked in their bags and started pulling everything out. They were so excited to get started. Each and every one of them put on their hats and glasses (a must as it gets pretty dusty) and started digging away.
It was so fun watching the kids break into their clay and hear their excitement as they found each bone.

Some were so serious!

I had some friends of mine there and we all got involved helping the kids put the dinosaurs together. It was so much fun!

After we were done with the dig, we cleaned up and the kids were ready for dessert! I made homemade cupcakes and found some plastic dinosaurs to put on each one to keep with the theme.

Another gift for the kids to take home and they loved them.
As parents started to show up the kids were running out to them so excited to show them their dinosaur and talk about the party. For days after I had phone calls, emails and text messages from parents saying what a great time their kids had and where did I get that idea!
I have to say that was one of the most fun birthday parties I’ve ever thrown!
