Single Mom, Outside with Toddlers

Here in Central NC, we have finally gotten some much needed rain.  Yay, my little plants are rejoicing…and so are my kids.  Normally, rain would mean a day cooped up in the house, watching cartoons.  But, our new outlook on life says we are out and about no matter the weather.  So, I have been trying to think of some good rainy day activities.

Puddle jumping, frog chasing (those little beauties really like the out of doors), rain dancing (just twirl in the cold shower and stomp a few puddles).  We also need some special gear to keep us healthy, so i bought my daughter a nice umbrella, and rain boots so she will be reasonable dry during out adventures. 

I think, that the local parks would be pretty clear in the rain, so maybe one day we will go for a hike and have the trail to ourselves.
