I guess I will start this whole thing off by telling a little about myself. My name is Jen and I’m a 25 year old living in Lansing, Michigan. I am a part-time student at Michigan State University majoring in Zoology and Animal Behavior. I also hold a full time job at Panera Bread where I am an Associate Trainer. I am engaged to a great guy named Rob and we are hoping to finally set the wedding date. (We’ve been engaged for two years, I’d say it’s about time!!!!) I am a full time Mom to my eight month old son, Andrew, who was born on June 21, 2007, after 27 1/2 hours of labor.

Andrew has been probably the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life so far and I can’t wait to see what comes. (Although, from what I’ve heard about teens, I wouldn’t mind him staying the cute cuddly drooly baby that he is.) He has his mother’s independent spirit and his father’s determination. He has Mommy’s face and Daddy’s huge feet. I’m not kidding about the feet, they almost didn’t fit on the birth certificate! Like every new parent, I’m full of questions and am anxious to hear that I’m not the only one who has a child that throws a tantrum every time it gets to bed time and that I’m not the only Mom out there, who at times, feels completely overwhelmed. My fiance and I work opposite shifts just so one of us is always around, so we don’t get to talk much. I’m hoping this blog will allow me the chance to vent out a lot of frustration and brag about Drew’s many achievements!!
