Annual Open House - September
According to the National Adoption Attitudes Survey conducted by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, many Americans overwhelmingly support adoption. Two-thirds of Americans have close friends or relatives who have adopted, have been adopted or have placed a child for adoption, and 40% of Americans have seriously considered adopting a child.
If you are one of these adults who have thought about bringing a child into your life through adoption, but aren’t sure if you can afford to adopt, or don’t know where to start, or think the process is too difficult, the Adoption Group of Orange County invites you to attend their Open House.
This free event takes place on the last Wednesday in September beginning at 7:30 pm. It is held at the Wallkill Community Center on Wes Warren Drive in Middletown, New York. Adults only please.
You can meet other adults in our community who have become adoptive parents. Listen to them speak about what it’s like to adopt a child from Russia, Foster Care, Guatemala, the United States and China. Ask questions. Take home a complimentary folder filled with helpful resources about the various types of adoption.
